This document is the presentation for the second Module webinar of the teacher training offered during the ENhANCE project*, focusing on familiarization with the main project outputs (Curricula & OOT). Specifically, the slides present the Professional Profile for Family and Community Nurses developed during the project, describing its components: 28 core competencies, 7 units of learning, and 54 learning outcomes. The curriculum is devised to be modular and flexible; as such, national adaptations have been developed for implementation in Italy, Greece, and Finland. The slides present the process that led to the definition of the national curricula, and provide suggestions for teachers designing pilot courses for Family and Community Nurses: assessing students' performance and participation, promoting collaboration and practice sharing, supporting community building, promoting self-regulated learning, striving to recognise prior non-formal and informal learning (e.g. learning obtained through professional practice), giving students the opportunity to personalise their learning path, and sharing contents as open educational resources.

This document is the presentation for the third Module webinar of the teacher training offered during the ENhANCE project*, focusing on the basics of collaborative learning and learning design. The slides present the key concepts of learning design, including the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) model. Subsequently, the slides present the design principles for online collaborative learning, focusing on the 4T model (task, time, technology, and team). Lastly, some techniques that can be used for supporting online collaborative learning are presented: the jigsaw, peer review, role play, debate, and pyramid. These techniques are then contextualised in the activities envisioned in the ENhANCE teacher training path, detailing how participants to the course will design their own collaborative learning paths to be used in pilot courses.

Academic paper, in Italian, presenting the 4T framework for learning design of collaborative learning activities. The 4T framework identifies time, team, task and technology as key characteristics of a learning design. The paper describes the model in general, as well as a gamified approach for facilitating its use and adoption in a collaborative way.

This paper has been used as a learning material in the ENhANCE* teacher training course.

Abstract:

This academic paper has been used as a learning material in the ENhANCE* teacher training path. It states the Larnaca Declaration on Learning Design, which arose from a 2012 meeting of experts in Larnaca, Cyprus who sought to provide a new theoretical foundation for the field of Learning Design, based on a synthesis of research and practice in the field to date. It begins by acknowledging the vast benefits that would arise from wider sharing of effective teaching practices, and it uses an analogy from the history of music notation to identify the need for a representational framework for describing teaching and learning ideas. It provides a range of examples of learning designs and different representational systems to illustrate the need for a “Learning Design Framework” (LD-F). It then acknowledges the wider educational context and its impact on design decisions by educators, and provides a “Learning Design Conceptual Map” (LD-CM) to identify contextual components and their interactions in design decisions. It concludes by discussing the philosophical and practical challenges of identifying and sharing effective teaching and learning ideas under the heading “Learning Design Practice” (LD-P).
